Introducing the Handsling A1R0evoS Team Replica Bike
Own a piece of our race legacy
When we announced our Elite Development Team status, we teased that a team replica bike would be coming to market soon. That promise is now reality: the same Handsling A1R0evoS platform our racers trust, rolling on Alta Via carbon wheels and assembled by the master technicians at Roubaix London is now available on the team website. With prices starting from £5,749.99 for a fully built machine, this bike delivers a bespoke, British‑built racing platform at a surprisingly accessible entry point. Interested customers are welcome to test ride one of the team spare bikes at the various team hosted events throughout the year (stay tuned on socials for more!) Buying a team replica bike isn’t just about owning incredible equipment – it’s about joining our journey, supporting homegrown design and craftsmanship whilst investing in the next generation of racers.

A race‑proven British platform: Handsling A1R0evoS
At the heart of every replica bike is the A1R0evoS frameset. The A1R0evoS is an evolution of Handsling’s A1R0evo – a stiff, robust and lightweight carbon road frame that accepts 32mm tyres and does everything well from tight city‑centre crits to mountain passes. On the A1R0evoS, the lay‑up is upgraded to Toray T1100 carbon fibre, which requires less material to achieve the same level of stiffness, resulting in a lighter yet still race‑winning chassis. The frame’s real‑world aero performance comes from truncated aerofoil tube profiles and asymmetric stays that improve power transfer; oversized head tube and bottom‑bracket sections add stiffness whilst asymmetric forks resist twisting under hard braking. Handsling compacts each frame using internal EPS moulds and subjects every design to rigorous destructive testing to yield a UCI‑approved frame that has already helped pros win races.
Every frame is fitted with Handsling’s advanced fork, with a wide stance and deep blades, which reduce drag and increase stability at high speeds. Its asymmetric design resists twisting forces from heavy braking, yet the fork remains laterally stiff while offering comfort over rougher ground. An upgraded thru‑axle retention system and sub‑350g weight complete the package.
Handsling’s integrated race handlebar – a stiff, one‑piece bar and stem combination is also fitted as standard. This bar is used by everyone – from elite racers to weekend warriors – and works with hidden cables running within the head tube. Multiple widths and stem lengths, a weight around 350g and a 125mm drop / 80mm reach means everyone can dial in a cockpit that’s both aerodynamic and comfortable. Bikes come with a Selle Italia SLR Boost Superflow TM saddle as standard.
Build your bike: simple choices, serious performance
With the help of our sponsors, we have added customisation options for critical components so that every customer’s bike reflects their style, performance goals and budget – without overwhelming detail. The enquiry form on our website captures the available preferences, with descriptions highlighted below.
Groupsets: Shimano Ultegra or Dura-Ace Di2 with optional power meter
We offer two 12‑speed electronic drivetrains – Shimano Ultegra R8170 Di2 and Shimano Dura‑Ace R9270 Di2 – each renowned for precise shifting and low weight. For data‑driven riders, both groupsets can be paired with an Xcadey power meter fitted to Cybrei cranks, in order to fine-tune training and track performance improvements. Out-front computer mounts for Garmin / Wahoo are additionally available.
Alta Via wheels
Alta Via’s wheels aren’t mass‑produced – they’re crafted. They are UCI‑compliant racing wheelsets that push regulations to the limit while staying incredibly light. Alta Via supplies four wheelsets for the replica bike: RS.45, RC.45, RS.65 and RC.65 under a 5-year warranty. All four models use high‑gloss Toray T800 carbon, feature centre‑lock hubs with 36‑tooth ratchets, ceramic bearings and come tubeless-ready. The RC.65 is a UCI‑compliant deep‑section wheel, designed to take the 65mm depth limit to its extreme while remaining responsive and lightweight (c.1,178g untaped build). It uses carbon bladed aerospokes and has an internal width of 23.5mm with a hooked profile for optimum tyre support. The RS.65 uses the same rim depth but substitutes alloy spokes. For riders favouring versatility over outright aero gains, the RS.45 pairs a 45mm front rim with a 55mm rear to balance stability and acceleration, while the RC.45 swaps to carbon spokes for added stiffness. Whatever the choice, it’s an investment in artisan British wheel craft that combines speed, reliability and understated style.

JAKROO Red (or something else instead)
Whilst the bike is priced on a JAKROO red (team-colour) spec, customers can choose from over 30 colours, as seen on the Handsling website.
Built by Roubaix London
Choosing a premium frame and components is only half the story – the build quality is what makes a bike come alive. Once specifications are set, Handsling’s UK workshop sets the bike on a paint queue and builds the frame and components to order. Bikes will have a typical six-to-eight week lead time from order to build. Every replica machine will be assembled by Roubaix London, our official workshop partner. Their passion for bicycles drives an unparalleled service to the racing community – every bike is built with meticulous care. This craftmanship is the difference between a bike that looks the part and one that feels alive from the first pedal stroke.
