Promethean Sports Management launches JAKROO Handsling Racing – a new elite men’s team built for the future of British cycling

London, 14 December 2025 – Promethean Sports Management today announces the launch of JAKROO Handsling Racing, a new elite men’s team formed to strengthen the UK racing landscape and provide a genuine development route for ambitious British riders.

The team builds on the strong foundations laid by Raptor Factory Racing, whose debut season delivered standout results including victory at the Beaumont Trophy and national exposure at major domestic events. With expanded backing and a more robust long-term structure, the new programme aims to become a central pillar in the progression of young British talent.

The team will compete in all National A Road & Crit Series events & championships and UCI-level events, focusing on accelerated development and exposure for riders aiming for the professional ranks.

The team launches with the full support of its title partners: JAKROO, the global leader in custom performance apparel, and Handsling Bikes, the British carbon-frame manufacturer renowned for its race-proven precision and build quality.

A NEW FUNDING MODEL AT THE HEART OF THE PROJECT

The partnership is anchored by a unique funding model designed to foster grassroots support and a genuine connection with the UK cycling community A proportion of all JAKROO custom-apparel sales made within the UK will be dedicated to supporting the operational budget and rider development pathway of JAKROO Handsling Racing.

This approach provides a stable financial base while creating a genuine connection between the team and the wider UK cycling community. In parallel, the team is positioning itself as a modern media platform, using digital reach and transparent partner integration to offer sponsors meaningful value beyond traditional race visibility.
